My English Garden

Welcome to the art portfolio of  Hazel Holland.  As you scroll down this page, please take a leisurely stroll with me through my English garden.  I hope you will begin to enjoy life from from a more peaceful perspective.

After you sit down on one of the garden benches, feel free to click on link at the top of this page and come and see life with me through the various paintings I've created.

A burst of sunlight makes everything look beautiful!

You can hear doves cooing in the early morning...

Come away and sit for awhile...

Begonias thrive in the shade of the trees.

So delicate and fragile!

Yellow finches... my favorite feathered friends!
A wheelbarrow full of flowers

Nasturtium leaves are great in salads!

Lush grasses love this pond!

A bird's-eye view

Seeing things from a different perspective?

Take time to smell the roses!

Sure adds color and texture to my garden...

Love this plant!  Oh, I guess there's more than one!

Impatience are always struggling to survive the
snails who consider them a delicacy!

These French street lights give the
garden a warm touch.

Have you ever been kissed on the cheek by a snail?

Lanterns light up the night!

Camellias found a spot in the garden that they liked.

My goldfish sure liked to eat the roots of water hyacinths!

An interesting perspective!

Can't believe I got the birdbath to myself... finally!

Got any food?  We're starving!

A Living Tableau!

I did this backdrop of Leonardo's Last Supper for a church Easter program
with different colored chalk.  I was about 15 feet wide and 9 feet high.

A close shot of the windows.

...Then it became a Living Tableau!

I drew this picture of the city of Jerusalem with different
colored chalk.  I was about 12 feet wide and 8 feet high.

A closer shot of the city.

Rainbow Colors!

Here's a backdrop I made out of butcher paper for a summer school play.
Butcher paper was also used to "create" children from around the world.
